Our Story
Welcome to Cut Finger Woodworks
At Cut Finger Woodworks, we blend tradition, craftsmanship, and a bit of humor to create custom wood pieces that last a lifetime. What started with a few hand tools under my parents’ carport has grown into a full-fledged wood shop — complete with a sawmill capable of cutting lumber up to 22 inches wide and 12 feet long. Whether you're looking for hand-crafted kitchen products, farmhouse tables, or a one-of-a-kind wood creation, we’re here to help bring your vision to life.
We offer custom milling services, work with locally harvested timber whenever possible, and even take on furniture restoration projects when time allows. If it involves wood, chances are we’d love to work on it.
About Me
I, David Parker, got my start in blacksmithing, working alongside my father at Burnt Finger Forge — where the sparks fly and the name says it all. As I leaned into woodworking, it only felt right to carry on the family tradition of tongue-in-cheek business names. Thus, Cut Finger Woodworks was born. Recently, Preston Biggs has joined the woodworking passion as well with bringing our line of cutting boards to life. Preston started with wanting to make cutting board for his own kitchen as cooking was his main passion. Now we are mainly producing cutting boards and culinary products.
Today, I combine my passion for woodworking with the skills passed down through family collaboration, often teaming up with my dad to create mixed-material pieces that merge metal and wood. Whether you need something built from scratch, milled to order, or restored with care — we’re ready to get to work.
